16.05.2008/ Rock Racing’s Oscar Sevilla was awarded for his consistency Thursday at the Vuelta a Colombia. The Spanish rider pulled on the green jersey of points classification leader after finishing third in the 83.8-mile (135 km) race from San Francisco to La Dorada. The fifth stage was won by Jeferson Vargas (Boy Para Vivirla Paipa Lecheboy). Wilson Cepeda (Col) UNE leads the overall.

16.05.2008/ On Saturday the Vuelta a Columbia started with a 8.4 kilometres long prologue. US Continental team Rock Racing dominated the prologue with a fantastic win for Santiago Botero but the defending champ of the Columbian stage race abandoned on stage 2. Giro d'Italia 2008: Priamo takes sixth stage - Visconti new overall leader

15.05.2008/ Matteo Priamo (CSF Group Navigare) won todays sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia. The stage was shortened after the riders protested against long transfers and the conditions under which they have to race. Quickstep's Giovanni Visconti took over the overall lead from Franco Pellizotti (Liquigas).

13.05.2008/ High Roads Mark Cavendish won odays fourth stage of the Giro d'Italia. Cavendish and High Road both celebrated their first ever stage victory at the Giro d’Italia on Tuesday after the 21 year-old Briton used his high-speed finish to beat Robert Forster and Daniele Bennati.

17.05.2008/ Saunier Duval's Riccardo Riccò blasted up the final straight in Tivoli to win stage eight of the 91st Giro d´Italia, 208 kilometres from Rivisondoli. "La Cobra", winner of stage two in Agrigento and last year´s stage to Tre Cime di Lavaredo beat World Champion Paolo Bettini (Quick Step) and Davide Rebellin (Gerolsteiner). Quickstep's Giovanni Visconti defended his overall  lead.

Giro d'Italia 2008: Gabriele Bosisio wins seventh stage - another win for the escapees

16.05.2008/ In the Vasto-Pescocostanzo stage another long-distance breakaway was successful at todays seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia. Bosisio could celebrate on the doorstep of his team-mate Danilo Di Luca, who on home territory came in fifth, Di Luca was the first rider of a small group with some of the to cross the line. Visconti defended his overall lead.

Levi Leipheimer about Astana in the Giro: "The team is super-motivated."

16.05.2008/ Levi Leipheimer collected more than 60.000 signatures under a petition which demands that his Astana should be allowed to start at this years Tour de France. In an e-mail Leipheimer said today that although its difficult to ride a Grand Tour with only one week to prepare, that Andreas Klöden has great form und is aiming for the podium.

14.05.2008/ inkoff's Pavel Brutt won todays fifh stage after a long escape with a five men breakaway group. Brutt attacked in the final 800 meters to claim the stage win. Franco Pellizotti defended his overall lead.

16.05.2008/ Team Type 1’s Glen Chadwick soloed to victory on the opening stage of the inaugural Tour of Arkansas Thursday while his teammate, Moises Aldape, finished third.

02.05.2008/ In my career if one race stands above the rest, the one race means the most to me is the Tour de Georgia. Being a born and bred Georgia boy, getting to do a race in my home state in front of my friends and family was one of the highlights of my career. I’ll never forget after I won the Best Young Rider’s Jersey my Grandmother saying, "I guess Saul really does something. I thought he was a playboy in Europe for all these years."
