Cyclingheroes: Ivan, 2007 was a year with a few big wins.... [Stage 7 Tour of California,  3 stage wins at the Tour of Missouri, editor]

Ivan Dominguez: "I was so happy after I ha won those races, its a great feeling..."

Cyclingheroes: "You will have competition from Tom Boonen at this years Tour of
California. Do you think you can beat printers  from the  European circuit? ?

Ivan Dominguez: I don't know if I can beat him [Tom Boonen, editor] yet,we all know that he's one of the best  and he's not coming in bad form and also with some race kilometres in his legs, for me the Tour of California is going to be my first race so I don't know how my form will be.

Cyclingheroes: Can you tell us something about cycling in Cuba?

Ivan Dominguez: Cycling is big in Cuba, they love it but it is not like here. There are no Bike Shops or something like that. You have to be in the National Team so you can get a good bike to race. I can tell you that it is hard.

Cyclingheroes: When did you come to the US?

Ivan Dominguez: Man that question have been around about 10 years now , I came in 98 and because I wanted a better future.

Cyclingheroes: You are the man for the sprints at Toyota-Untited, which teammates are important for the preparation of the bunch sprints?

Ivan Dominguez: They are all important for me, from the guys who have to work the first part of the race to the last guy who take me to the last 200 meters

Cyclingheroes: With the Tour of California, Tour de Georgia and the Tour of
Missouri there are more and more important stage races in the USA. Is cycling still growing in the US?

Ivan Dominguez: They all big for me so I go there with the best intention 'to win' and yes cycling is growing a lot in the US and thats good.

Cyclingheroes: How did you prepare for the 2008 season?

Ivan Dominguez: I can't tell you about my training but you can find me riding in the Agoura Hills area.

Cyclingheroes: What are your main goals for the upcoming season?

Ivan Dominguez: To win a lot of races, maybe more then last year.
