Suarez (Alcaldía de Páez) won the stage in 2 hours, 49 minutes and 4 seconds. Teammate Carlos Galvez came in second, 34

The race at the circuit through the avenues avenidas España and 19 de Abril19, San Cristobal, has been marked by repeated
attacks by riders of the Lotería del Táchira squad, which ended as the race was controlled by a compact group, led
by Alcaldía de Cabimas and Gobernación del Zulia.
More
than 250 thousand spectators enjoyed a beautiful spectacle that occurs every year, at the first days of January, in the
framework of the International Fair San Sebastian-FISS.
Tomorrow
the riders and followers will enjoy a restday in San Cristobal, 890 kilometres southwest of Caracas. The Vuelta Al tachira will resume on Tuesday January 15 with the stage 10, which starts
at 9:30 am at Codero and after 135 kilometres the mountain stage will finish at the summit of La Grita.
We don't have the complete results yet, so wecan't say at which spot
Malaya van Ruitenbeek finished. Van Ruitenbeel publishes a regular riders diary during the Vuelta Al Tachira.
