As the Tour Down Under will start as recently as tomorrow we had a kind of restday today after yesterdays crit. We woke-up
at 8 am and had breakfast. At about 10 am we had two hours of relaxed riding on our schedule.
In between we we allowed ourselves a cup of coffee at the beach. We wanted to enjoy the tranquilness one more time before
it all really starts tomorrow. The weather was geat again: blue sky and the sun was shining. Today I even got a minor sunburn.
The sun is extremly powerful here.
After our training we have eaten a bit. Afterwards I did some sightseeing with 'Keule' [Thomas Fothen, editor]
and Carlo Westphal. A cycling fan came to us and invited us to drink a cup of coffee in a bar. That really was a nice gesture.
Here in Adelaide the people are very friendly and absolutely enthusiastic about cycling.
After our 'excursion' we went back to the hotel and then Massage. Now I am watching the Australian Open on
tv but soon I will go to sleep to be as fit as a fiddle at tomorrows opening stage. I will get in touch tomorrow
again, I hope with some good news.
Until tomorrow
