Day 2 Riders Diary Tilo Schüler and Philipp Mamos

22.01.2008/ German riders Philipp Mamos and Til Schüler will publish a riders diary at our website during the 2008 Tour de San Luis. The riders of the German Sparkasse squad will report regularly from Argentina. Today day 2: "The seriousness of life has begun."

Hola!

Today the seriousness of life has begun with a prologue. The prologue had a distance of 3.5 kilometres apart from a few technical difficulties it was easy to ride. In the morning hours we absolved an hour of light training to make last adjustments on our time trial bikes. After lunch we went to our room for a couple of hours to mentally prepare for the prologue.

We prepared on the prologue individually because with almost 200 riders on the startinglist the starting times were widespread so we didn't see each other before dinner. There we could tell our first tales of woe to each other, whereby Philipp had the longest of all of us. Halfway he had a defect and because of that he could only ride really slow and had to bring himself to the finish line with a big time-loss.

We don't have the exact results yet.
