Today's stage at Giro del Capo has been run over 149 very hard kilometres. A 97 kilometres
in line part was followed by five 10 kilometres local circuits, each one ascending Hellhoogte in Stellenbosch.

Cornu (Silence - Lotto) , who was already at the front yesterday, took a fantastic revenge in today's stage, beating Portugal's
Hugo Sabido (Barloworld) and Holland's Malaya van Ruitenbeek (Kuota - Senges) to 2nd and 3rd.
Team Barloworld held control over the fourth stage of Giro del Capo (Old Hellshoogte
Pass - Hellshoogte, 148km) helping Austrian rider Christian Pfannberger to keep his leader jersey.

In a repeat performance of his 2003 Paarl stage win, Luke Roberts of Team Kuota-Senges narrowly
outsprinted Barloworld’s Christian Pfannberger to win the third stage of the MTN Giro del Capo in Paarl today in a time
of 4h24’55. Dominique Cornu (Silence - Lotto, but starting for the Belgian
National team at the Giro del Capo) came in third..
At 174.5km, this was the longest stage of the 5-day international tour, and the riders
had to conquer the challenging Franschhoek and Du Toit’s Kloof Passes in soaring temperatures of up to 42°C on some
sections of the route.
