Philippe Gilbert (Francaise des Jeux) told Belgian daily newspaper 'Het Laatste Nieuws' that Boonen thinks its
a 'shit' race. But Gilbert sees thinks different: "I love it," Gilbert said. ´Gilbert continued by saying: "I am dreaming
of it. In my mind I see myself riding solo the finish and walk over the line."
Gilbert thinks Milano - Sanremo is a difficult race: "You have 25 possible scenarios, try to pick the right one.
One mistake is enough to lose. Who wants to win has to have nerves of steel."
Gilbert added: "At the Tour of Flanders your heartrate is much higher. But still everything is going really fast at the
Primavera. Its enjoying 300 kilometres."
Gilbert was named as one of the big favourites for Saturdays Milano - Sanremo by Liquigas rider Filippo 'Pipo' Pozzato.
Pipo won 'La Primavera' in 2006. Gilbert said: "They all think surely he will atttack. But what if I go for the sprint?" Gilbert
added: "It has improved a lot. Last year I had to attack but now I am more relaxed."
"I did a good Paris - Nice. I did not get sick, no crash. I was protected better by Francaise des Jeux. That gives
confidence. I know I can win Milano - San Remo."
Gilbert thinks Rabobank's Oscar Freire and Thor Hushovd (Credit Agricole) are the men to beat. "Those are indeed my two
favourites. Than Petacchi and about ten outsiders, one of them myself. But I am not thinking about others, I am busy with
myself," Gilbert concuded.
