Riccò and Piepoli to lead Saunier Duval Scott at Giro d'Italia

11.04.2008/ Saunier Duval - Scott announced its roster for this years Giro d'italia. The Spanish Pro – Tour team is the first team to announce its roster for the first Grand Tour of the current season.

Riccardo Riccò will be the captain of the team and climber Leonardo Piepoli will have a free role. Both riders impressed during the mountain stages of last years Giro d'Italia.

24 year old Riccò and 36 year old Piepoli will be assisted by Italian riders Ermanno Capelli (22) and Eros Capecchi (21). The young guns will ride their first Grand Tour. Manuele Mori will ride his fifth giro d'Italia. The team also selected Raivis Belohvosciks, Luciano Pagliarini, José Alberto Benitez and David Cañada.

This years Giro d'Italia will start in the capital of Sicily at May 10.
