In their former guise as Team T-Mobile, the team were one of the stars of closely fought 2007 race which saw them take
home 2 stage wins courtesy of Mark Cavendish, as well as enjoying spells in all four leaders' jerseys with Cavendish eventually
taking victory in both the Hot Spot Sprints and Green Jersey competitions.
Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Roger
Hammond are all named in the provisional line up for the race which will start in the heart of London on September 7th, and
with the participation of Team GB already confirmed, British fans will have plenty of reasons to come out and cheer, particularly
with the race falling just after this summer's Olympic games in Beijing.
Technical Director Mick Bennett of the Tour
of Britain said: "Team High Road is the first of a number of exciting announcements in the 2008 team line up. Having a
team that includes Cavendish, Wiggins and Hammond on the roads of the UK just after the Olympics is a mouth watering prospect
to say the least. Mark and Roger in particular have contributed a great deal to the success of the race in recent years and
it's great to have them back again"
