The Team CSC-favourite covered the 32.4 km around Grenville in 41.49 minutes, but he saw Baldwin crash just 400 metres
before the finish as he attacked a couple of corners with an unlucky result.
"I think I had nerves for the first time
in my life today. Everyone has been saying, 'Zabriskie, Zabriskie, you are going to win.' It got to me a little", Zabriskie
said to Cyclingnews after the race.
