Rock Racing is providing the four riders who will ride the City To City Ride with jersey's and other team gear.
Created and led by Emily Schaller and Kevin Borsay, the City To City Ride started in the summer of 2007 as a way to raise
funds and awareness in the fight against cystic fibrosis. Starting in Detroit at Campus Martius Park on July 28, Emily and
Kevin embarked on a 280-mile bike ride that ended in Chicago's Grant Park. They followed the historic Michigan Avenue route
from the avenue's point of origin at Campus Maritius and traveled across southern Michigan with stops in the towns of Clinton,
Coldwater, Union, New Buffalo and Gary, Indiana before arriving in Chicago. They had many sponsors and donors and in addition
to making friends along the way, they raised more than $9,000.00 for the Rock CF Foundation.
100% of the proceeds go to the Rock CF Foundation. Founded and led by Emily, the foundation is a non-profit, donor-supported
organization that uses the arts, entertainment, fashion and fitness to spread awareness, raise funds and improve the quality
of life for people living with CF. Foundation initiatives include the funding of a scholarship program for students with CF,
a fund for lung transplant patients and ongoing support for the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening chronic disease that affects the lung and pancreas. Approximately 30,000 children
and adults in the United States have cystic fibrosis and an additional 10 million more are carriers of CF gene. Life expectancy
is about 37 years old and increases each year thanks to the support of people like you.
