Vuelta a Espana organiser Unipublic released a list with the names of the participating teams and their captains. Unipublic
announced that apart from Carlos Sastre (CSC - Saxo Bank), Alejandro Valverde (Caisse d'Epargne), Alberto Contador (Astana),
Cadel Evans (Silence - Lotto) and Damiano Cunego (Lampre) will start at the 3 week stage race.
Earlier Unipublic excluded the Spanish Scott - American Beef team. The team use to race under the name Saunier
Duval - Scott but left this years Tour de France after
Riccardo Riccò tested positive for CERA.
The Vuelta Espana starts at August 30 with a Team Time Trial in Granada.
