U23: Gold for Ciolek
After his surprise win of the bunch sprint at last year's German national championships
where he beat Erik Zabel and Robert Förster, Gerald Ciolek showed today that this was not a one day wonder. By winning the
U23 championships not in a bunch sprint, as one could have assumed, but in a sprint of a breakaway group the 20 year old German
sprint talent crowned a really sucessfull season which brought his first Pro Tour victory.

Women: Marianne Vos champion on and off the road
After becoming cyclo cross world champion Marianne Vos grabbed her second title as world champion
at the road race in Salzburg. After a nervous race, which saw a number of breakaways and attacks Marianne Vos won the sprint
of a breakaway of 15 riders, leaving second for Trixi Worrack (Germany) and third for Nicole Cooke (Great Britain).
