criterium on Sunday. Davis won the sprint, Robbie McEwen came in second and Jason Phillips grabbed the last podium spot at

of having my name cleared and having my licence handed back," Davis told the Australian newspaper and continued by saying:
"I've got to thank a couple of close mates back in Spain and my coach Neil Stephens for keeping focused. The win, especially
against a world-class sprinter like Robbie McEwen, just capped it off. I didn't really know how I was going to perform after
not having raced for so long."

a strong interest in me," Davis said on Sunday. "While it does feel good a team of the calibre of Discovery Channel want me,
I've been told on legal advice I can't comment." Allan Davis still has a contract with Active Bay, the company which is co-owned
by Manolo Saiz, and will have to reach an agreement with Active Bay about termination of that contract or sue the Spanish
company.
