Lampre's first training camp for 2007
Boario Terme (Brescia) will host the first official Lampre-Fondital’s training camp for the 2007
season. The training camp will take place from December four untill December 7 and all riders and the whole staff will be
present. The town near Brescia has been chosen thanks to the relationship between team Lampre-Fondital and team Brixia
of Giuseppe Bresciani.
“During this first training camp we will carry out the medical checks, we will test the
technical equipment and we’ll define the agonistic program for season 2007," team manager Guiseppe Saronni explained.
"It will also be an important opportunity for knowing the new elements and for creating the right team spirit”.
Sixdays in Munich: Zabel and Risi finished first night on rank two
Erik Zabel and Bruno Risi finished the first night of the Munich sixdays on rank two. With 70 points
the Swiss-Belgian duo Franco Marvulli and Iljo Keisse got the victory and the first yellow jersey. Zabel and Risi are on rank
two with 56 points. 8.500 fans visited the first night of the Munich sixdays.
Several croppers overshadowed the race.
Also Erik Zabel was involved in one. With grazes at arms and legs he was able to continue the race after some medical help.
For
Lars Teutenberg the sixdays are finished already. He was involved in the first cropper, after the race has been started by
dressage-specialist Isabell Werth. Teutenberg had to give up the race because of a broken clavicle.
Saunier Duval: ambassadors for Human Rights
Besides racing in the most prestigious cycling events in the world, the Saunier Duval - Prodir
team were ambassadors for Human Rights in 2006. They have covered more than 225,000 kilometres promoting these fundamental
rights, and letting thousands of people know that there are 30 Human Rights that must be acknowledged. Throughout the season,
the team and their partners participated in events such as handing out signed T-shirts, organising competitions with bikes
as prizes, "We ride for Human Rights" was the seasonīs slogan, and every rider in the team got involved. Thanks to this, a
topic much neglected was in the spotlight again. In 2007, Saunier Duval - Prodir will be the champions of another noble cause.
Mauro Gianetti and all the riders believe that everybody has a mission to fulfil on earth, especially when you are a professional
sportsperson who are responsible for the messages they convey to the general public.
