Wielinga to Saunier Duval

Remmert Wielinga will race for Saunier Duval in the 2007 season. The 28 years old Dutch rider comes from Quickstep.

McEwen at Jayco Bay Classic

Things are moving "Down Under" In preparation to the Australian Road Championship on January 14th at Ballarat, Robbie McEwen and Nick Gates will take part to the Jayco Bay Classic.

The programme:

Wednesday January 3: Williamstown

Thursday January 4: Portarlington

Friday January 5: Geelong waterfront

Saturday January 6: Eastern Park

Sunday January 7: Melbourne Docklands

Thomas Dekker starts his season in Mallorca

Thomas Dekker will start his season at Mallorca. Dekker who just finished a training camp in South-Africa were he met riders like Andreas Klöden and the entire CSC squad, wants to defend his Tirreno-Adriatico title and than show good form at the spring classics. The 22 year old Rabobank rider is looking forward to his first start at the Tour de France and hopes he can score at the prologue. Dekker told tdmagazine about his first Tour start: "Experience and finishing is my goal. Althoug I am also looking forward to the prologue in London. Ofcourse it would be great to compete with the top of the world. If I feel good there is a lot possible."

Teammate Michael Boogerd wrote in his weekly editorial for Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf that Dekker wants to score top 10 results at the Amstel Gold Race and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
