According to the N.O.S., CSC rider Karten Kroon said the rider's charter is a media stunt of the UCI, Kroon
said: "judically it lacks substance. Any law school student would laugh about it." The N.O.S. also reported that
the CSC team will not sign the document.
Tour de France director Christian Prudhomme and UCI president Pat McQuaid has already announced last
week that riders who do not sign the charter will be excluded from the Tour. Kroon : "We will see. Now its man against man.
CSC is the best team in the world. I doubt that the Tour organizers will exclude them [CSC]. Besides CSC features a watertight
anti-doping programm. I have been tested 16 times already this year."
Kroon concluded: "I think no rider likes to sign this document." Kroon is not at the CSC Tour roster.
