Gerald Ciolek (T-Mobile) won his third stage in only four days at the Tour of Germany.
Again Ciolek's team-mates played a big part in the stage win; the magenta train dominated the stage, working hard to reel
in the day's breakaways and then massing at the front to position Ciolek in the sprint. The in-form 20 year was able to do
the rest, coming from behind to power his way through and edge Erik Zabel (Milram) on the line.
"This third stage wins rounds out a great week for us," said T-Mobile sports director Jan Schaffrath: "We
would have been happy enough with another podium place here today, but it is great that the team were rewarded here again
with another win."
Jens Voigt is the first rider who won the overall of the Deutschland-Tour twice. "This year, I had said beforehand
I wanted to contest the general classification, and I was under pressure from the start."
Voigt, who laid the foundations for his win in the Alps and then solidified his with victory in Friday's time trial won
by 1'57" from Discovery Channel's Levi Leipheimer, with David Lopez of Caisse d'Epargne 2'10" back in third.
"I had a fairly quiet day today, I could enjoy the stage, but the team worked hard to control the race," Voigt
said.
