Matt Wilson seems to be on schedule for his first main goals of the season. "Wilson told Cyclingheroes last week:"for now I’m concentrating on the National Championships and the Tour Down Under in January." He took the second stage which was at a very technical circuit in Portarlington, Australia. The winner of the 2007 Herald Sun Tour attacked with three laps to go and to bring his solo break home. Hilton Clarke came in second and Allan Davis grabbed the final podium spot. Baden Cooke kept the yellow jersey but Hilton Clarke is now second with the same amount of points as Cooke.

Women

Lauren Kitchen  took the second stage of the womens's race, with a strong Oenone Wood finishing second. Alexis Rhodes defended her overall lead.
