Cunego to Unibet?

Last week we reported that former Giro d' Italia winner Damiano Cunego extended his contract with Lampre-Fondital. Now it seems that Cunego is still negotiating about a renewal of his contract.  Cunego has a contract with Lampre untill the end of the 2007 season and is negotiating a contract extension untill 2010, but now it's said that T-Mobile, Unibet.com and Milram also offered him a contract for the 2008 season (untill 2010).  Cunegos manager told sportwereld.be: "We consider every proposal, also the one of Unibet.com."

Andriotto to Aqua e Sapone

Dario Andriotto will join his current teammate Stefano Garzelli at Liquigas in a move to Italian pro-continental team Aqua e Sapone. Andriotto is 34 years old and started as pro in 1995.

Valverde works on his ITT skills

Alejandro Valverde will fly to the USA to work on his ITT skills. The number 3 of this years road world championships in Salzburg  wants to work on his position in a windtunnel. Valverde said: "To have a chance in a grand tour i must improve my time trial. I hope that next year i will be able to ride a half second faster each kilometer as i am now by working on my position and equipment more targeted and precisive."
